The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
